Description
A romantic explosion of color defines this composition. Two young lovers embrace in a tender kiss. Their figures remain monochromatic. This contrast pushes them forward against a chaotic backdrop. The scenery vibrates with energy. Neon pinks and electric yellows collide. A glowing heart floats above them like a neon sign.
The setting celebrates a timeless city. The Eiffel Tower stands tall on the right. Graffiti style lettering declares a love born in Paris. This urban aesthetic blends high art with street culture. Symbols of luxury appear throughout. A quilted handbag rests beside a bouquet of pink peonies. The brushwork is gestural and fast. Drips of paint run down the canvas. They add a raw and spontaneous feeling to the scene. This artwork captures the innocence of first love. It frames affection within a modern and vibrant metropolis. The balance between the grey subjects and the saturated environment creates a powerful visual tension. Every stroke radiates passion and youth. The piece concludes with a playful nod to contemporary pop art.
Presentation
Yasna Godovanik is a pop art/street art artist. She was born in 1988 and raised in a family that encouraged art and creativity. She knew at a very young age that art was her life goal, especially painting, and on completing high school she continued her art schooling, specializing in painting, and in particular miniature paintings that earned her many awards in international competitions.
After completing her studies she joined the artist collective Art Hive, which offered workshops to the public, and organized many successful art projects and group shows.
The act of contemplation of a mandala creates a sense of balance and focus, calming and reassuring, offering an uplifting sense of peace. Yasna uses the mandala as a force of inspiration and artistic expression in her artworks.
She creates complicated patterns of color combinations in her paintings, maintaining a harmony of color and lines that are uniquely her expression and artistic statement. While she mainly works in acrylic and aquarelle paintings, she has created a series of metal wall sculptures and paper cuts that highlight her drawing skills and her brilliant sense of color.
Since the beginning of 2021 Yasna is based in Prague, and her art is represented exclusively by the Katie Feygie Art Gallery. The Katie Feygie Art Gallery ensures the originality, exclusivity, and authenticity of each of the artworks.
