Description
'Voyager,' an oil on canvas, is part of the series titled 'The Becoming,' a contemplation on the human condition. Originally conceived to depict a day in a woman's life, the series has evolved to explore broader themes.
In this piece, the voyager symbolizes a traveler through time and space. The woman seated in the bath represents a 'boat,' serving as the vessel for this journey. The bath's shape, reminiscent of a boat or ship, carries symbolic significance. The painting draws inspiration from the everyday, seeking to imbue mundane moments with profound meaning.
The artwork is mounted on stretcher bars, ready to hang, and has been varnished to ensure its preservation for generations. The clean white sides of the painting showcase meticulous attention to detail, with no visible paint drops or marks.

Presentation
Melinda is a London based artist whose work focuses on the conceptual understanding of the philosophical questions and solutions emerging out of human experience, both individual and collective. She is interested in the present and the past, her paintings explore different points of view on existence. In her creative process colour and texture are important elements, as well as the deconstruction of forms which allows her to find an equilibrium between figuration and abstraction.
