Description
Acrylic & marouflaged paper on canvas
A vibrant exploration of abstract energy. This 2019 acrylic painting on paper pulses with heat. Deep reds dominate the composition. They create a dense, atmospheric background. Bold black strokes carve out circular motions. These sweeping gestures suggest a rhythmic, organic flow. A pale pink band cuts across the canvas. It provides a soft, linear contrast to the swirling depths. Small accents of blue and green emerge from the layers. They offer brief moments of cool relief within the fiery palette. The artist employs a protean approach to form. He balances opposing forces to create a visual dialogue. Visible textures overlap with translucent glazes. This layering creates a tension between the seen and the hidden. The artwork captures a constant game of harmony and dissonance. Every brushstroke feels deliberate yet spontaneous. The composition remains open to interpretation. It invites the viewer to find order within the chromatic chaos. The piece concludes with a sharp interplay of saturated pigments and raw paper.
Presentation
Jean-Luc Veret is a French artist born in 1953 who lives & works between Paris & Corancy, France. He recognizes himself as a protean artist. He is indeed graduated of Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts of Paris & Conservatoire National des Arts & Métiers. This originality is easily found in his artworks. They are entirely part of abstraction in playing a constant game between forms ans colors. The latter are opposing and harmonizing. For the painter, his artworks are a pure contrast between the visible and the invisible.
