Antonella Scolfaro
Italy Born in: 1967

 Antonella Scolfaro, artist who lives near Varese city graduated from  Brera Academy in Milan with a specialization in painting.

Hes artistic production can be divided into several parts: on the one hand the precision of hyperealism (neat and meticulous expressive form) studied and studied during her the first work experiences in advertising studies as well as the use of photography, on the other hand the search for formal elegance where prevail the clear colors and the contrasts of the broad and luminous brushstrokes of the Macchiaioli and the Impressionists (her favorite currents).

Most of her works are an unconditional declaration of the power of love over nature.

The need to want to communicate - to tell the world that flowers contain the power of nature that without them the world would be soulless means that most of Antonella's works are dedicated to them.

She uses a lot of the use of acrylic and oil paints for close-ups of faces, watercolor for landscapes and macro images.

From a pictorial point of view, it is therefore possible to find a conscious use of color, an absolute pivot to express the sensitivity that the artist puts into play to describe life; full use, from hot to cold, sometimes a starting point for the creation of energetic, strong, surely captivating and sometimes dull, melancholy atmospheres, typical of less cheerful atmospheres. It should be noted the choice to include the colors in certain paintings in precise and  defined outlines, thus creating a clear and orderly image proposal. Just as life is sometimes under control, directed towards tracks that we know how to control and predict. 

On the other hand, the other colors are much freer, unrelated to a concept of order, far from the concrete and closer to the abstract. Again, we do not stray from life, which may seem confusing, unclear, with no clear direction to take. From this review, Antonella's applied artistic ability to reproduce the truth through art emerges beyond a shadow of a doubt. Her paintings are sincere and therefore like a mirror of positive and negative moments; life in nature is made of birth and flowering but also of discoloration and the painter to concretely reproduce  these phases.
