Description
Archival pigment print on Epson premium semi-matte. Why do we dream of a simple and unique image of Eden; What happens when pain represents our sanctuary...
This provocative artwork immerses the viewer in a dark, intense scene, featuring three figures drenched in what appears to be blood. The central figure, with bright red hair, is striking, displaying a fierce, open-mouthed expression that exudes raw energy. The other figures, shrouded in shadow, enhance the unsettling atmosphere. Their expressions are obscured, adding an aura of mystery and tension. The subdued, dark color palette, combined with splashes of red, creates a haunting and visceral aesthetic. This piece challenges traditional notions of beauty and compels viewers to confront themes of horror and transformation. The use of texture, particularly the wet, glossy appearance of the fluid, adds depth and realism, intensifying the emotional impact. This artwork stands out for its bold, unapologetic confrontation of the macabre and its ability to evoke a powerful, visceral response.
Presentation
Léa Bon is an androgynous fashion and art photographer, with a unique, personal and spiritual body of work. Dreams and fantasies from the past and present are portrayed by Léa Bon's subjects, which she uses as her own personal dolls.
At a young age, Léa Bon found in photography the means by which she could construct her own small worlds using her imagination. Her work breaks with the stereotypes of traditional photography and goes beyond the human eye; it is a fusion between art, fashion, and humanity, evoking surrealism, expressionism, and hyperrealism.
She has done multiple exhibitions about her life, among them “First Cycle-Innocent Vision", composed of 25 works of art that portray her personal journey. Her photographs have been published in numerous fashion and art magazines around the world.
