Description
This captivating work features a dynamic explosion of vibrant colors. Dominated by shades of deep blue and incandescent yellow, the image evokes fluid, energetic movement. Touches of red and white blend together, creating a striking contrast that adds visual tension. The fade between the colors creates an illusion of speed and transformation, drawing the eye toward the luminous center. The dark background accentuates the brilliance of the hues, making the overall effect even more dramatic. This abstract composition stimulates the imagination, evoking varied interpretations such as the cosmos or an aurora borealis. The artist succeeds in capturing a vibrant, ethereal essence that transcends mere visual representation, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in a universe of pure emotion and energy. This work is a testament to the power of color and movement in abstract art.
Presentation
Self-taught, photographer for more than 15 years and after receiving three distinctions for his work, he turned, always with photography as a medium, towards artistic creation by producing photographic abstractions.
Working in Sarthe, Gilles Gourmaud is a tightrope walker photographer oscillating between shadow and light.
His demanding eye for images makes every moment of his life a tireless desire to capture the incandescence and clarity of what surrounds him.
Although his attraction to abstractions is very strong in his artistic choices, his quest for sincerity, humanity and his sensitivity to light also leads him towards photographic staging, architecture, portraiture and landscapes.
