Description
This artwork presents a serene pastoral scene where sheep graze and rest under the expansive canopy of ancient, shadowy trees. The soft, warm tones envelop the entire landscape, creating a dreamlike quality that evokes tranquility and timelessness. The artist's unique use of light and soft focus blurs the line between reality and imagination, enhancing the ethereal atmosphere. The composition's balance, with the sheep scattered harmoniously across the sun-dappled grass, invites the viewer to linger and absorb its peaceful simplicity. The interplay of light and shadow under the dense foliage adds depth, highlighting the intricate textures of both the sheep's wool and the tree bark. This artwork stands out for its ability to transport the viewer to a world that feels both familiar and otherworldly, capturing the essence of pastoral beauty with a contemporary, impressionistic approach.
Presentation
It was during one of her volunteering that Catherine Lefrancq discovered the photography. She then realized the strength that could have a photo to show the invisible. It has given rise to publications and exhibitions in France and abroad . Catherine Lefrancq is eternally fascinated by the wonders she is fortunate enough to observe and capture through her lens. Her approach to photography is resolutely intuitive and emotional, guided by her sensitivity and receptiveness to her surroundings. For her, emotion takes precedence over any technical considerations of her camera, which lends an authentic and poetic dimension to her work. For years Catherine used to work her photography from landscapes to wildlife, highlighting the beauty and majesty of nature in all its forms. More recently, her eyes have turned also to people who inspire her. Her photographs have been published in magazins, have been awarded and exhibited in galleries allowing the public to share her unique vision of the world.
