Description
This remarkable work captures a man in a light-colored suit, standing alone in a dark, serene lake. His silhouette creates a striking contrast with the water's darkness. The delicate ripples around him add subtle dynamism, suggesting barely perceptible movement. The monochromatic aspect of the image reinforces its mysterious and introspective atmosphere. The diffuse, almost ethereal light reflects off the lake's surface, creating a fascinating, grainy texture. This work embodies a profound reflection on solitude and isolation, while also evoking a silent connection with nature. The absence of external details allows all attention to be focused on the central figure and the enigmatic setting that surrounds him. This visually captivating composition speaks to the viewer with its perfect balance between simplicity and emotional complexity.
Presentation
"Born in 1975 in Paris, I practice photography right out of childhood, replacing the pleasure of drawing.
Lacking inspiration in Paris (by my fault, not his…), I only take the camera out when traveling. The rest of the time, I teach my research in philosophy.
Beyond the necessary compartmentalization of these activities, it seems to me that my photography is impregnated with existentiello-philosophical questions. "
