Description

Technique: Photographic printing
Edition: 6/8 (signed and numbered)

Man In Blue captures a suspended moment in the heart of an urban space emptied of its human presence. The scene unfolds in an almost surreal subway car, bathed in a cold, clinical light, where the gaze is immediately drawn to the central perspective.

The receding, perfectly symmetrical lines guide the eye towards an isolated, almost ghostly silhouette, lost in the vastness of the train car. The omnipresent blue—from the seats to the handles—creates an atmosphere that is both soothing and unsettling, evoking contemporary loneliness in public spaces.

This work subtly plays with the codes of urban and minimalist photography, while introducing a silent emotional tension: that of a world where human presence becomes almost secondary to architecture.

Acquiring Man In Blue means capturing a rare moment: one where the city, usually saturated with movement, seems to hold its breath.

In this silent subway car, everything becomes almost unreal. The perfect lines, the cool colors, the absence of crowds… and yet, in the distance, a human presence persists. Discreet, fragile, almost invisible.

This work acts as a mirror to our times: hyperconnected but profoundly lonely.

Placed in a living space or a collection, it immediately attracts the eye, but above all, it invites you to stop. To observe. To feel.

It is not merely decorative — it tells a story.

The series is part of this approach, capturing public places that are deserted or emptied of their social function.

Presentation

Passionate about the night and the street since his adolescence, his friends nicknamed him "Bat" bat in English. This nickname becomes his double. So a few years later, he decided to combine everything he liked in one name and signed Akabat Str8t. The 8 infinity symbol gives him no limit in his art or in his movements. This artist lives and produces between Paris, Almaty and Tel Aviv.
