 Miami Skin is one of the few “Still photo” projects realized only in Black and White. It’s not a traditional collection of photos of the architecture of Miami and Miami Beach. It’s rather a quick journey between its own skin from the Art Deco District to the modern skyline of our days. Stripes, circles, squares, and reflections show only some details of important buildings but they all have the power to raise emotions and unexpected shapes and volumes inside us. A final touch is reserved for natural skin from the ocean to the tropical vegetation. You need now to make an effort of imagination to discover and compose all pictures and eventually frame it in your own mind.

This artwork presents a striking monochrome depiction of a flag, rendered entirely in grayscale. The flag, captured mid-wave, mimics the fluid motion of fabric caught in a breeze, casting intricate shadows and highlights across its surface. The translucent material allows light to pass through, creating varying shades of grey that suggest depth and dimension. The absence of color directs focus to texture and form, emphasizing the undulating lines and curves that traverse the flag. Set against a stark black background, the piece exudes a minimalist, yet powerful aesthetic. The artwork challenges the viewer to reconsider the symbolism typically associated with flags, focusing instead on the beauty of movement and light. Its simplicity is deceptive, inviting deeper reflection on themes of identity, change, and perception.
