This artwork presents a surreal and imaginative fusion of music and flight. A guitar seamlessly morphs into a sleek airplane flying through a vivid blue sky, blending creativity with innovation. The instrument's polished body transforms into the aircraft's fuselage, while its neck extends gracefully, adorned with tuning pegs as aerodynamic elements. The juxtaposition of the guitar's familiar shape with the unexpected context of aviation invites viewers to explore themes of freedom, transcendence, and the limitless potential of artistic expression. The artwork captivates with its exquisite detailing and the whimsical yet powerful concept, sparking curiosity and admiration. Through its bold and inventive imagery, the piece transcends traditional boundaries, crafting a harmonious narrative that resonates with both music lovers and art enthusiasts alike.

Creating the Ícara I was like an initiation. the work contains about 800 feathers and it has a very rock and roll feel as it reminds us of Lenny Kravitz’s love for feathers and boas. It also explores a rite of passage: leaving Buenos Aires, its music, its flavors and ultimately a remembrance, an homage to a dear Argentine singer-songwriter Gustavo Cerati, whose song “Tu cicatriz en mí” brings him back to Buenos Aires.
