Description
This vibrant artwork captures a nighttime view of Paris, beautifully illuminated under a starry sky. The Eiffel Tower, painted in warm hues of orange and red, stands majestically to the left, surrounded by multicolored firecrackers that brighten the scene. To the right, a costumed figure appears to be flying in a glowing hot air balloon, sketching a bold trajectory across the dark sky. Stylized buildings in shades of blue and yellow evoke the city's dynamism. The bold use of contrasting colors, accentuated by abstract shapes, gives the work an energetic and festive atmosphere. This painting skillfully blends tradition and modernity, offering a playful and original interpretation of the French capital.
Presentation
In the beginning, François Boisrond evolved into a figurative universe, representing daily life, urban landscapes, portraits and self-portraits in a pure and colorful way. Later on, he revisited the canons of painting and from a digital model, engaged in a work of recomposition of the colorful sprectrum.
Fraçois Boisrond's work have been the object of numerous exhibtions, in particular at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bordeaux in 1985, at the Pompidou Center in 2007 and at the Paul Valéry Museum in Sète in 2015.
