Description
This striking artwork combines realism with urban street art, portraying an intense boxer poised for action. The central figure, donned in vivid pink boxing gloves, exudes strength and determination. The monochromatic depiction of the boxer contrasts sharply with the vibrant, chaotic background filled with graffiti, splashes of neon orange, blue, and pink, creating a dynamic energy. Words and tags, layered and overlapping, contribute to the raw, rebellious aesthetic, reminiscent of an urban mural. Notably, the iconic "Everlast" brand on the waistband anchors the piece in authenticity. The interplay between the detailed realism of the figure and the abstract graffiti elements highlights the contrast between discipline and chaos. This artwork, with its bold color palette and layered textures, captivates viewers, inviting them to ponder the intersection of sport, art, and urban culture.
Presentation
The artist IPR Graph lives and works in Alicante, Spain, where he develops his artistic practice in his own studio and gallery. He began his career in the field of modern art, sculpture, and professional figurative painting, disciplines in which he acquired a solid technical and conceptual background. However, it was his fascination with Pop Art and the dynamism of urban art that led him to find a freer contemporary language, free from traditional artistic constraints, allowing him to express himself with complete creative independence.
His work is part of the convergence of neo-expressionism, urban art, and contemporary pop culture, establishing a personal style characterized by visual power, chromatic energy, and iconic power. In his works, IPR Graph reinterprets universal figures from film, music, sports, manga, Japanese anime, and video games, constructing an imaginary world where cultural icons become symbols of collective memory.
Each piece is an exercise in emotional and psychological reinterpretation, where vibrant colors, urban graphics, typographic collages, and intense pictorial gestures create powerful portraits and scenes. These figures are recognizable not only by their imagery but also by the expressive and symbolic meaning they convey, generating a dialogue between the viewer and contemporary visual culture.
Inspired by street art, collage, and modern expressionism, IPR Graph transforms his canvases into an experimental field of great aesthetic freedom. There, the gestural, the iconic, and the popular blend, giving rise to works that are simultaneously provocative and refined, with a strong contemporary feel.
The works presented in this auction are high-quality giclée reproductions on professional canvas, durable and long-lasting. Each one belongs to a limited edition of only 10 numbered copies worldwide, making them exclusive, collectible pieces, intended for an audience that values both aesthetic strength and uniqueness in contemporary art.
