Description
This artwork depicts an anthropomorphic monkey with striped fur, wearing a red beret and opaque round glasses pierced with technical details. A nose ring accentuates the aesthetic of body ornamentation, while the smile remains fixed, almost mechanical. The outfit, a combination of a dark jacket and a light t-shirt, situates the character in a contemporary urban pose, immediately recognizable but lacking individual grounding. In the background, repurposed "Banana Republic" banknotes juxtapose figures from the world of play and toys—a robotic rabbit, a falling cartoon character—in colorful and dynamic scenes. This accumulation of childlike and violent images creates a visual dissonance where entertainment and destruction coexist without hierarchy. The whole constructs a space saturated with stimuli, where the subject adopts the codes of the surface while simultaneously dissolving into it. A representation of an identity shaped by fragmented cultural flows, absorbed without reflection or transformation.
