Description
4-color screen printing on Rives Design 250g by the artist
This monochrome composition explores the superimpositions of memory and desire.
The saturated pink dominates the space. It merges the contours of a female face with organic elements.
The gaze, multiplied and fragmented, guides the reading towards the center of the image.
The artist interweaves floral motifs and the silhouette of birds to create a dreamlike landscape.
The technique plays on transparencies and strong contrasts.
Each layer adds visual depth, transforming the portrait into a surreal still life.
Presentation
Tian is a French artist of urban influences, living and working in Le Mans.
Tian is fascinated by human nature, which is his favorite subject. The ambivalence of the being, its fears, its anxieties, its contradictions and its joys represent for the artist a great ground of inspiration, in which he pick ups all day long. He works more precicely on the duality of characters, revealing thus all the paradoxes of human emotions, as well as on the duality of physical, romantic and conflicting interactions between two subjects. Communication with the body can be sensual, romantic, sexual, or on the contrary tense, dominating, enslaving.
Tian works with stencils, on the walls of big cities or on canvases. Le Mans remains his favorite playground, even through we can see his tag on the walls of Paris, London, Berlin, Brussels, New York, Sao Paulo and Warsaw.
