Description
A portrait of a couple from pulp cover. On a botanical print of magnolia
5-color screen print on Rives Design 250g by the artist
LAST COPY
The image captures the suspended moment of an embrace. Two figures are hugging in a play of strong contrasts. The line borrows from the codes of Pop Art and urban portraiture.
The couple seems frozen in a romantic tension. The body expresses itself here with sensuality. The artist explores the duality of human interactions through a precise visual dialogue.
In the background, golden leaves are blooming. They frame the subjects and add an organic dimension to the whole. This superposition creates a striking visual relief.
This screen print, created in 2024, combines modernity and emotion. It belongs to a series of limited editions. The copy number and signature appear discreetly in the bottom right.
Presentation
Tian is a French artist of urban influences, living and working in Le Mans.
Tian is fascinated by human nature, which is his favorite subject. The ambivalence of the being, its fears, its anxieties, its contradictions and its joys represent for the artist a great ground of inspiration, in which he pick ups all day long. He works more precicely on the duality of characters, revealing thus all the paradoxes of human emotions, as well as on the duality of physical, romantic and conflicting interactions between two subjects. Communication with the body can be sensual, romantic, sexual, or on the contrary tense, dominating, enslaving.
Tian works with stencils, on the walls of big cities or on canvases. Le Mans remains his favorite playground, even through we can see his tag on the walls of Paris, London, Berlin, Brussels, New York, Sao Paulo and Warsaw.
