Stefano Bombardieri

Stefano Bombardieri, born in 1968 in Brescia, Italy, is an internationally recognized sculptor whose artistic vision merges hyperrealism and conceptual exploration. Growing up in his father’s workshop—a sculptor himself—he developed a deep understanding of artistic techniques and materials, crafting a unique sculptural language that challenges perception and reality.

Influenced by Umberto Boccioni, Giacomo Balla, the Futurists, Henry Moore, and Piero Manzoni, Bombardieri moves beyond traditional figuration into conceptual realms. His works explore themes of time, pain, and perception, deeply rooted in Western culture and philosophical inquiry.

His artistic practice spans various mediums, including video installations and mixed-media sculptures, reinforcing his engagement with modern storytelling techniques. His sculptures, often monumental in scale, exhibit a hyperrealistic precision that paradoxically renders them surreal, evoking both awe and unease.

Bombardieri has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Italy and Europe, with increasing recognition in the international art scene. In 2024 and 2025, his works continue to be showcased in major contemporary art fairs and prestigious galleries, solidifying his status as a leading sculptor in hyperrealist and conceptual art movements.

His signature subjects—rhinos, sumo wrestlers, and fossil-like figures—appear frozen in time, encapsulating a synthetic yet profound stillness. These works blur the lines between reality and illusion, nature and artifice, inviting viewers into a reflective dialogue on the essence of existence and artistic representation.

Stefano Bombardieri’s art challenges our perception of reality, crafting a parallel universe where the familiar becomes extraordinary. His sculptures, with their perfect yet unsettling presence, encapsulate the alchemy of art, bridging imagination and truth in a timeless, thought-provoking narrative.
