Description
Aluminium II by Kovalenko Sergiy is a contemporary sculpture that explores the subtle balance between movement, lightness, and tension. Crafted from hammered aluminum, the work is composed of metallic ribbons that rise, curve, and intertwine in space, creating a fluid and airy dynamic.
The textured surfaces capture and reflect light in ever-changing ways, producing vibrant highlights that shift with the viewer’s perspective. This interaction with light enhances the sense of motion, as if the rigid material were shaped by an invisible energy.
The composition relies on a controlled interplay of open lines and suspended volumes, giving the sculpture a feeling of restrained freedom. The understated base anchors the work to the ground, emphasizing the contrast between the stability of the foundation and the upward momentum of the forms.
Both minimalist and expressive, is part of a formal exploration in which industrial material becomes a vehicle for emotion and poetry. The sculpture invites the eye to move through its curves and negative spaces, offering a visual experience that is constantly evolving.
