Presentation
“Bastia artist, Hugo W2CJ, real name Hugo Mei, is known for his emblematic character Roger, a pink flamingo.
First on paper and then on the walls of abandoned places, he started in the world of graffiti about ten years ago.
With his pink flamingo, Hugo seeks to spread a vibrant and positive message by uniting around art, inviting everyone to find themselves and identify with his works.
His creations with links to graffiti and pop culture are at the same time colorful, minimalist and graphic.
Wood as his favorite medium, he cuts and shapes this medium to create unique wall sculptures. However, Hugo likes to experiment with different media: canvases, skateboards, unusual objects...
Roger, who bears his grandfather's first name, is a vector of positive emotions, nostalgia and the future.
It perfectly embodies the artist's slogan: “spread joy, love, and sun".. »
