Description
This intriguing work depicts a suspended sculpture of a human figure on a swing. The artist has captured a graceful movement, creating a harmony between traditional bronze and the finesse of the ropes. The delicately balanced figure appears to float, symbolizing both lightness and tension. The shadow cast on the wall adds a captivating spectral dimension, enriching the composition. The juxtaposition between the raw materials and the figure's elegant posture evokes a balance between strength and fragility. This work highlights the artist's technical mastery, transcending simple sculpture to offer an immersive experience. It encourages the viewer to contemplate the theme of freedom and balance in suspended moments. With unparalleled precision, each detail contributes to the work's overall elegance, making this art both captivating and contemplative.
Presentation
Pere Sala presents a work of classical root but with very contemporary connotations, both in terms of the theme and the great dynamism of its compositions.
His bronzes remind us of the great masters of the 19th century, due to their great mastery of technique, finishes and patinae. The artist wisely models female and male bodies in equilibrium positions but never forced, capturing with great delicacy the energy, beauty and indolence of youth until it reaches the viewer's emotion.
