Description
This captivating work is characterized by a striking fusion of organic forms and dreamlike worlds. The piece presents anthropomorphic figures, sometimes white, sometimes red, in an enigmatic interaction. The sharply defined red silhouettes contrast sharply with the white figure, creating an intriguing visual dialogue. The scene is composed of vertical forms reminiscent of stalagmites, reinforcing the mysterious atmosphere. The dark background accentuates the deep red and pale white of the figures, underscoring the emotional intensity of the composition. Fluid and dynamic lines add a dimension of movement, while the minimalist use of the color palette lends a raw power to the work. This unique piece evokes both reflection on human interaction and immersion in a fantastical world, revealing the depth of the artist's expression.
Presentation
Raâk was born in Brittany, in the Finistère region, in 1940. At the age of sixteen, inhabited by malaise, she painfully leaves "the gast country" for the capital where her quest for the Grail begins.
1975: The year of reckoning. The path she had taken appeared to her as a total failure which made her struggle in a serious existential crisis. The "safety net" writing that she has always practised becomes powerless itself and is no longer of any help to her.
1976: Raâk discovers a free creative workshop in her neighbourhood where clay is offered as a therapeutic material. And this is the unlikely ascent towards life, which finds strange and jubilant passages through the pounding of her suffering. In his hands, obscure latent forces heaped up by thirty-six years of heartbeats explode.
