Petite Jade radiates a presence that is at once fragile and powerful. Her slender body, defined by clean, refined lines, contrasts with an abundant mass of hair that seems to transform into an organic landscape or a cloud of thoughts. The verdigris patina lends the work a mineral and poetic quality, evoking the passage of time and the forces of nature.
Through this figure suspended between reverie and meditation, Valérie Hadida explores the movements of inner life, the relationship between the body and the imagination, and the many facets of identity.
appears inhabited by an inner world that extends beyond the contours of the body. Between rootedness and metamorphosis, the figure invites us to contemplate what lies beneath appearances: the thoughts, emotions, and dreams that silently shape our being.
Presentation
Valérie Hadida is a contemporary French sculptor and painter, working mainly in bronze and clay.
Her "petites bonnes femmes"/ Little Women, are a poetic encounter meant to make us enter her universe, both feminine and timeless, and feel the emotions that these generations of women felt.
Trained at l'Ecole d'arts plastiques et publicité de la ville de Paris (EMSAT) and employed in the studio of Marielle Polska for 6 years, she has been exhibited in galleries since 1990.
