Description
The accumulation imposes itself here as a strong artistic gesture. Plastic, an everyday material, transforms into a complex and organic structure. The primary colors clash against a deep black background. This contrast highlights the tension between the chaos of the forms and the rigor of the support.
The eye travels between the vertical lines and the intertwined curves. Each fragment seems to tell a forgotten story. The assembly plays with volumes to create a striking relief. The composition is organized around a central axis where heterogeneous elements aggregate.
The assembly evokes an imaginary machine or a hybrid creature. The repetition of red and yellow tones brings a constant energy to the whole. The work on the material questions our relationship with industrial objects. The artist uses recycled components to build a contemporary totem. The rectangular base anchors the composition in geometric stability. The final detail is nestled in the finesse of the blue filaments that extend the structure downwards.
Presentation
David-Henri Duart develops an artistic approach that he defines as an aesthetic of waste. Collecting plastic fragments along the Mediterranean coast, he strives to capture these discards before they join the sea to make them spring forth with forgotten stories and worlds.
Through these stagings, David-Henri Duart invites the spectator to explore imaginary territories where plastic, diverted from its primary function, becomes the support of a poetic and engaged narration.
