Description
This bronze sculpture captures the tenderness of a family bond. The artist models two massive and protective silhouettes. An adult watches over their small one with manifest tenderness.
The work of the metal emphasizes the natural heaviness of the animal. The curves are generous. The patina, with olive green and earthy tones, brings an organic relief to the material.
The contrast between the size of the two subjects accentuates the vulnerability of the newborn. The composition is compact and balanced. The eye is drawn to the close physical contact between the two bodies.
Realized in 2021, this piece is part of a contemporary animalistic movement. It prioritizes the expression of feeling over rigid anatomical precision. The whole exudes a deep serenity through rounded and polished forms.
