Stratos   Emerging artists

Stratos, born in 1953 in Avignon, France, is a renowned sculptor and painter whose art embodies the beauty of form, emotion, and connection. His grandfather, a Greek tailor, chose France as their home, where Stratos developed an early passion for art. At the age of 14, he began working in an architecture firm, where he honed his skills and became captivated by the elegance of lines and aesthetics. This early experience sparked his lifelong creative journey. Stratos' unique artistic vision fuses vibrant colors and abstract forms, with recurring themes of human connection, life, and love, often represented through his powerful, sculptural works.

In recent years, Stratos has continued to captivate art lovers and collectors with his monumental sculptures. His works have been exhibited at prestigious locations across France, such as Arcachon in 2015, where he presented 12 of his iconic sculptures. Other significant exhibitions followed, including displays at Grau du Roi, Pont du Gard, and Nice in 2017. Stratos' sculptures continue to capture the imagination of contemporary art enthusiasts. As of 2023, Stratos has been working on new projects that blend his signature style with a contemporary twist. His upcoming exhibitions include solo shows in Paris and Marseille, where he will unveil a new series exploring the intersection of technology and human connection. His growing presence in both private collections and public art spaces solidifies his place as a prominent figure in the art world.

Stratos' iconic sculptures are characterized by large-scale metallic forms that feature intertwined, dynamic figures—musicians, couples, and abstract human silhouettes. These captivating pieces invite reflection and evoke deep emotional responses, encouraging viewers to contemplate the fragility of life and the importance of shared experiences. With their bold use of color, including vibrant red, yellow, deep blue, and striking black, Stratos' artworks stand as a testament to the beauty and complexity of human relationships. His work, both monumental and intimate, offers a timeless visual language that celebrates the preciousness of life.
