This striking sculpture showcases an enigmatic fusion of form and texture, featuring a bust emerging from an abstract ocean-like base. The top section resembles a futuristic creature, adorned with intricate patterns on its head and a sleek, mask-like facial covering, evoking a sense of mystery and alien elegance. Its translucent seafoam green hue contrasts vividly with the deeper blue, wave-textured pedestal, creating an illusion of subaqueous movement. The piece commands attention through its dynamic use of color contrast and imaginative design, engaging viewers in an exploration of the boundary between reality and fantasy. Presentation
Liu Guoyi is a Chinese artist born in 1974 who lives & works in Beijing in China. He is also researcher at Institute of Contemporary Art and Traffic Landscape Design East China Jiao Tong University.
He is a true creator who performs art via allegories. He has exhibited in numerous exhibitions in China & many countries worldwide. Some of his artworks belong to public collections of Seoul Art Museum in South Korea.
