Description
From a previous work entitled "Mademoiselle", representing two silhouettes of Asian women against a background of trompe l'oeil landscapes, the artist has enriched his creation by wrapping in transparent plastic in order to better reflect the light. Then, she glued innumerable colored butterflies in order to give movement, some in silk, others in plasticized elements with a case at the base that allow them to flash independently and if desired, in green, blue and in yellow. The whole is structured with black cables diagonally and horizontally; luminous work of art or lighting? As with all her works, Martine Dégot has composed a musical poem which she sings and which completes the picture.

Thus she creates unique paintings, poems in 3 dimensions, from objects found during her walks and encounters: candy wrappers, boxing gloves, bicycle stretchers, old toys .... a moving way to give them a new life, to awaken our childish soul and to play with memories.
Often, Martine Degot's paintings are inspired by her songs, the artist managing to find melodies everywhere with a deep sense of poetry.
Her works transfigure the mundane into compositions full of her incredible energy and love of life.
