Biography

Grégory Chiha is a French painter born in Algeria in 1963 who currently lives in the village of Lascabanes situated in the south of the department of Lot. His grandfather, who came from Lebanon, and his father were soldiers in the French army, a past which he claims has marked his life.

In a unique style, he creates strange and stunning oil paintings, very precise and realist landscapes and interiors where the elements are situated in a second plan with an artistic blur which is applied to the characters that appear in the foreground resembling ghosts. His artistic approach consists in starting from chaos to arrive to the truth of a simple image, giving free rein to the imagination of the observer.

His pieces have been exhibited in several galleries in France and the United Kingdom.
