Biography
Born and raised in Shibuya, Tokyo, and now based in Brooklyn, NY, Meguru's works investigate the brushstrokes through the lens of street culture, Japanese aesthetic sensibilities and his intimate studies of modern and contemporary western paintings, in which the artist refers to as “cut and paste". He has collaborated with American brands such as Stussy, FTC, ALIFE, and Chari&Co NYC., and has participated in numerous exhibitions and art fairs in Japan as well as overseas such as Kinfold 94, +81 Gallery, Ace Hotel in New York, the Urban Art Fair and Art Élysée in Paris.
