Joan Bennàssar (Pollença, 1950) is a celebrated Majorcan contemporary artist. His work, with a strong influence from Picasso, features painting, print, sculpture and film. The powerful shapes, the modern primitivism and the universality of his themes, with particular interest towards human figures, make him one of the most interesting artists of today's Spanish art scene.
