Imanol Marrodán. Bilbao 1964, País Vasco.
Creador e investigador interdisciplinar, desarrolla, entre otras actividades, una labor crítica a través de diversos eventos relacionados con el arte y el pensamiento contemporáneo como parte de su proyecto creativo personal.
El concepto de límite, inspirado en la idea del antiguo "limes" romano, citado por el filósofo Eugenio Trías como metáfora de un conocimiento civilizado y racionalmente controlado, es el punto de partida de un concepto de límite que no se entiende como el fin de algo , sino como un medio para un nuevo "comienzo" de renovación, de crecimiento y evolución.
Es el proceso de formación de una experiencia que comparte un hábitat sociopolítico en un mundo industrial, materialista, tecnológico y artificial, en contraposición a un entorno natural estrechamente ligado a las leyes del universo, que apenas conocemos, pero que seguimos sintiendo e intuyendo.
Como conclusión y prioridad principal, en el proyecto creativo de Imanol Marrodán, se busca evidenciar, sacar a la luz, los diversos usos, utilidades y aplicaciones prácticas de la creación contemporánea como uno de los elementos motores esenciales vertebradores del futuro de una comunidad social, política y económica, contribuyendo a determinar, de manera transversal, sus cambios y evoluciones.
Ha expuesto en países como Reino Unido, Francia, Alemania, Portugal, Bélgica, Corea, Argentina, Chile, Suiza y Estados Unidos. Su obra se ha mostrado en ferias internacionales de arte contemporáneo como ARCO, VALENCIA ART, ARTE SANTANDER y DFOTO (España), ART COLOGNE y KUNST KÖLN (Alemania), KIAF (Seúl, Corea), ArteBA (Buenos Aires, Argentina), BALELATINA (Basilea, Suiza)...etc…
Su trabajo está ampliamente representado en Museos, instituciones públicas y colecciones privadas.
