Franck Pourcel vive en Marsella. Su obra fotográfica combina la observación documental y la creación artística contemporánea, y cuestiona la relación entre el hombre y su territorio.
Biografía
El fotógrafo y escritor independiente Franck Pourcel reside en Marsella. Explora la relación entre el ser humano y su entorno. Su obra fotográfica, en blanco y negro o color, combina un enfoque documental con la creación artística contemporánea. Sus fotografías se exponen regularmente en Francia (destacan sus participaciones en los Rencontres d'Arles y en la Abadía de Montmajour en 2013) y en el extranjero. Forman parte de las colecciones de la Biblioteca Nacional de Francia, la Casa Europea de la Fotografía, el Fondo Regional de Arte Contemporáneo (FRAC) Provenza-Alpes-Costa Azul, los Archivos Departamentales de Bocas del Ródano, el Museo Ziem de Martigues, el Centro Mediterráneo de Fotografía de Bastia, la Biblioteca de Arte de Cherburgo, el Museo de la Camarga, el Museo Arlaten, entre otros, y también se encuentran en colecciones privadas.
Franck Pourcel ha sido galardonado con varios premios y ha recibido diversas subvenciones para apoyar la publicación, la creación y la investigación, como la subvención de la misión del patrimonio etnológico del Ministerio de Cultura.
Es autor de numerosos libros publicados por Le Bec en l'air, entre ellos (2015); texto de Gilles Mora (2013); (2009); texto de Jean-Pierre Ostende (2006); texto de Jean-Louis Fabiani (2006); texto de Anne Attané y Katrin Langewiesche (2004).
