Nicolas Ruelle is a French painter and composer born in 1969 in Argenteuil. He studied Letters and Arts and then became a composer for the French television. His passion for painting led him to explore this universe as an autodidact. He currently lives and works in Vendee, where he opened a music studio as well as his first painting studio.

Nicolas Ruelle's paintings represent mainly landscapes. He draws his inspirations mostly from the nature that surrounds him , the artist makes his two passions correspond to each other. His musical reseach is reflected on his pictorial creations. the colors play an important role in his pieces, since they are the structure of his paintings. The shapes are not only suggested, giving more freedom for interpretation to the observer. The artist represent nature in motion. His brush does not capture an precise moment, on the contrary it allows the object evolve by itself, as the absolute master of the painting.
