Cade

French sculptor artist, Cade

Cade is a sculptor who lives and works in Bourgogne (France). The inspiration for her work comes from a figurine made with clay and representing a farmer with his accordion. First, she took sculpture courses at the Beaux Arts' atelier in Paris and then she worked as an autodidact. She established her own studio where she created artworks for many years. She exhibited her work in various cities as Lyon, Mâcon, Tournus, Cluny, Dusseldorf, Nice, Paris..

She makes little statuettes but also bigger artworks made with bronze or clay. Her work is figurative and reminds of the Genesis from the Bible : she shapes a modern figure of Eve with clay but also young girls sitting, laying, bending ... She also likes to portray animals (elephant, cats) sitting with dignity. Original works are limited editions and usually edited in a dozen copies.
