Robinson Deschamps is a French artist born in 1976.
After his studies of sciences and graphics, Robinson Deschamps turned finally to the practice of latin calligraphy. After making some small works of logos and teather posters, he chose what would become his signature, the drawing of a little doll who he named Akiza.
The doll Akiza allowed his creator to question its identity and the limits of its representation. He uses Akiza as an artwork and an object, art and industry. It is easy to see the artist past experience in calligraphy reflected on her, the doll became a universal and classic image of our society's consumerism.
Gradually, Akiza replaced the name of the artist, who works a lot with the collaboration of his wife Yoshii, he decided to consacrete to a new project in 2012: the opening of an art gallery in Paris.
