"My guidelines: The link, the movement, the circulation and, very, very present, something in the order of the desire for emancipation, to emancipate oneself from the constraints of matter: A very strong movement, which recalls the rhythm of the life cycle.
I try to free myself from earthly contingencies in order to be in the poetic evocation with universal themes that meet the current painful themes of wandering and displacement.
The characters are also universal in the sense that they are neither sexual nor socially or historically identifiable: they are characters of all times who refer to something of the order of the universal and the base allows them to make the link: the base here does not really act as an intermediary between the real world and the work, it is part of my sculpture, it is the reality of the raw material from which the characters emerge.
The characters are entangled in the material and make efforts to emancipate themselves from it. The base reminds us of the chaos from which we come, it spatializes: we can find there the theme of the theatre, the theatre of human tragedy between vital momentum and heaviness, pain..."
