Biography
Born in 1978, Jeanie is a sculptor who spends her days in a village, situated in the Lorraine region.
She combines spontaneity with technical gestures. Sketching is the governing principle of her creations, through her drawings but also modeling, which is transformed in bronze. Jeanie shares Auguste Rodin's recurring theme: the unfinished state. Hers is visible through holes, gaps, absences...The artist sounds out the complexity of a being, by dissecting all its complexities. She inter-wines nuances, highlights them and digs them deeper. Her creations sway between two extremes: pain and euphoria, descent and renaissance....Opposites reconcile through curves. Harmony tempers the troubling inner experience. Bronze cools the ardor of the living moment, and expresses itself in form.
She has done several exhibitions in Parisian galleries during the years 2014-2016.
