Biography
My name is Raphaële Six and I am from Lille. Painting came into my life almost 30 years ago, and I still enjoy it so much. Finding myself alone in my studio, facing my canvas, brings me peace and serenity. My favorite themes are inspired by everyday life, women, children, sport. Also horses (I practiced horse riding a lot) and the circus. The practice of drawing from a live model brings me the inspiration and the sketches necessary for the realization of my paintings. I'm not necessarily trying to be faithful to the model ... My will is to try to put my technique at the service of emotion. I like to suggest attitudes, to blur them, not to say too much to leave room for the imagination.
