Pierre Segoh

Pierre Segoh is a Togolese visual artist, born in 1980.

Pierre began painting at a young age guided by a self-taught passion

. Her father was in the installation of voodoo rituals, it is perhaps there that he discovered the first shapes and colors that later inspired her.

Pierre Segoh paints on canvas, on paper and on wood. He uses crayons, pastel and Indian ink.

At the moment Pierre is working on the identity of people. He relies in particular on the head of the human being, the most important part of the body, according to him, to recognize the value of a person.

. He creates kinds of masks, sometimes deformed, half-men, half-animals,

the “Segoh” masks which all have their own identity.
