Brian has a Diploma in art and education from The King Alfred University, after his studies he became a teacher and taught in several English institutions. It was not until 2010 that he decided to consecrate solely to a professional artistic practice.
Brian Neish is fascinated by painted surfaces, particularly by the surfaces that endure extreme conditions like sun, wind, frost and rain. He calls the appearance of these debilitating effects ‘Noble Decay’ to signify that this surfaces have unique qualities that are visible due to the impact of time on them.
Brian Neish's work does not refer directly to architectural features, he attempts rather to get inspired by them and to recreate his impressions on his pieces. His last pieces have a front and solid appearance, like the zoom of a more massive structure.
