"I am looking for a way to connect figurative objects, often remembered places, to an abstract writing using color, relief, movement, blur."
Biography
What to do with the lights, skies, seas and expanses of land so happily painted by so many other artists? How to go beyond the visible to evoke emotion, sensations, wind, heat, delicacy and strength? I try to move away from the image to provoke the gaze, reflection, dialogue...
I am looking for a way to connect figurative objects, often remembered places, to an abstract writing using color, relief, movement, blur
My reflection is at once aesthetic, poetic and emotional
First look, feel, memorize
Then, in the workshop, in a very intuitive way, recreate natural forms transformed by the filters of memory and inner emotion.
Color plays a dominant role in composition. I will degrade, nuance, play with transitions, wipe, scratch to evoke spaces without defining them precisely. I often work with spalters so that the gesture is free and the trace both fluid and textured.
I like rich textures and overlays that will reveal palpable reliefs, changing lights and shadows.
The image is suspended at the limit of representation, the details are minimal to leave room for the imagination. The vibration is primarily chromatic.
My world is a dreamlike world, sometimes surreal, a world full of colors and calls to dream, a tribute to the beauty of life, an invitation to lose oneself in the mysterious immensity.
