Biography

Kostar is a French artist born in the 70's in Paris. He became popular in the 1990's for street art and graffiti, when he uses to paint walls and various surfaces (trains, trucks, subways…) all around the world (USA, Europe, Asia) for TV shows, sports or brands events.

While he was Based in Beijing in 2013, his artworks, exhibited in Chinese and French galleries, got a new dimension, with the goal of expressing humor and positive vibes, like his PSCIYL project: Put Some Color Into Your Life. Humor and colors, are two of the main characteristic of his works.

Kostar has given “Urban Art" a whole new definition – This revolutionary artist moves us through dynamic images, and thought provoking phrases; he takes a leap of faith and chooses the path of passion and the unknown, rather than safety and conformity. 

Kostar is constantly evolving with new materials such as neon lights, screws, sculptures, photography and film. What remains constant is his razor sharp with and incisive humor. In August 2019, he have been the first artist to send a sculpture into space to promote his character Mr Balloon. He sent it from an  aerospace company located in UK , 40km above Earth.
