Biography
A graduate of the Shanghai Institute of Arts and Crafts (1978), then of the School of Fine Arts of the University of Shanghai (1986), he taught there until 1991.
Du is best known for his contemporary interactive installations, featuring sensors that create encounters between spectators and virtual characters (Présomption, 2000; La tour de Babel, 2003).
He is also the author of a series of photographs on the theme of the Tower of Babel.
He created the 2015 poster for the Roland-Garros tournament published by Galerie Lelong.
In 1999, he obtained a master's degree in “digital spaces” at the Rennes Regional School of Fine Arts.
