Biography
Poetry is everywhere and its means of expression are multiple. There are two that are particularly close to the heart of the painter Michel Fontanay: painting and verse, because they both offer a poetic vision of the world, similar to Marcel Proust when he writes, in the preface to Sesame and lilies, which “painters teach us like poets”.
It is for this reason that M Fontanay has chosen to pay tribute to the greatest French poets in a series where portraits and poems meet.
Michel Fontanay is a French painter who lives and works in Auvergne. Discreet, his exhibitions are rare.
