Biography
Joachim Monvoisin lives and works in Rennes. He holds a DNSEP and a DNAP from the Beaux-Arts in Quimper. In 2012 he received a grant from the DRAC Bretagne.
He is close from absurd movements such as Oulipo, Dada or the Pataphysicians. He feels connected to the popular images and symbols around him. They come from current situations but also from his childhood memories, and he likes to play with them and reinterpret them; his only formal constraint is the freedom he gives to non-serious things that are meant to counteract a society that he finds full of fear and pessimistic.
