Giorgio Carluccio

A sculptor, he works mainly with materials such as ceramics and polychrome iron.

Biography

Giorgio Carluccio was born in Tuturano(Brindisi) in 1948. He studied at the Liceo Artistico in Lecce in the years '64-'68 and obtained a diploma in sculpture, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce, in 1973.

In the early 1970s he worked in the avant-garde, attracted by expressionism, informal art, and the spatial concepts of Lucio Fontana. In the 1980s, as a teacher, he devoted himself to the experimentation of plastic disciplines at art institutes and art high schools. 

He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad and his works are published in catalogs published by Mondadori, CAM Arte Moderna, Dizionario D'arte Sartori and many others.
