This intriguing artwork features two amorphous, bone-like structures, prominently displayed within a dynamic red metal frame. The juxtaposition of smooth, organic forms against the sharp, angular frame creates a striking contrast, drawing the viewer's attention to the tension between rigidity and fluidity. Mounted on a textured, triangular black base, the piece exudes a sense of balance and movement. The earthy tones of the bone-like elements complement the vivid red, enhancing the visual impact. The choice of materials and abstract design invites a plethora of interpretations, encouraging viewers to engage with its enigmatic presence. This sculpture captivates with its bold composition and thought-provoking interplay of forms, textures, and colors.
Presentation
Giorgio Carluccio was born in Tuturano(Brindisi) in 1948. He studied at the Liceo Artistico in Lecce in the years '64-'68 and obtained a diploma in sculpture, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce, in 1973.
In the early 1970s he worked in the avant-garde, attracted by expressionism, informal art, and the spatial concepts of Lucio Fontana. In the 1980s, as a teacher, he devoted himself to the experimentation of plastic disciplines at art institutes and art high schools.
He has participated in numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad and his works are published in catalogs published by Mondadori, CAM Arte Moderna, Dizionario D'arte Sartori and many others. The following critics have written about his work, among others: Vittorio Sgarbi, Paolo Levi, Ludovico Geirut.
