Biography

Gabriele Marsile is an Italian artist born in Milan in 1972. He went to the Secondary School of Art II Caravaggio, and then graduated from the School of Applied Art of Castello Sforzesco. He specialized in drawing and illustration and then worked in the field of the web, edition, and advertising.

During the last years, he has devoted his photographic work, to the description of behavioral analyzes. With his collections dedicated to flowers, Marsile depicts the subject of isolation, not seen as a momentary and voluntarily closure but as a longer state, caused by external factors, such as disability or discrimination.The relation and the differences with voluntary isolation are portrayed by the representation of the subject on a black background, as a representation of the deep silence that envelops isolation.
