Sunwoo Kim

Biography

Born in 1988, Sunwoo Kim is an artist from Seoul, South Korea. He received his MA from Dongguk University in 2017 after receiving his BFA from the same institution in 2015.

Kim features the dodo bird recurrently in his work as a motif to explore dreams and freedom. His vibrant canvases depict a humorous take on contemporary art.

Kim's paintings have been shown throughout Korea with recent solo exhibitions at Seoul Action Forum space (2020) and Art Space H (2019).
