Biography
Polly E. Apfelbaum is a contemporary visual artist, born in Pennsylvania, United States in 1955. She is a graduate of Pennsylvania’s Tyler School of Art and SUNY Purchase College in New York. Now based in New York City, the artist produces colorful drawings, sculptures and floor pieces, which she refers to as “fallen paintings.” Her art is often politically-charged, with a distinct feminist engagement.
To date, Apfelbaum has taken part in several solo and group exhibitions, most recently in California, Israel and Lucerne in Switzerland. She has also contributed to several art publications and magazines over the course of her career.
